Educator Guide (Teacher) Responsibilities and Job Requirements:
- Degree in Education and a minimum of two years of lead teacher classroom experience in elementary grades.
- Passionate about implementing project-based learning with a STEAM emphasis.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Open to learning new things and receiving feedback.
- Self-starter personality traits.
- Working with students one-on-one when they need extra help or attention.
- Tracking and evaluating student academic progress.
- Leading parent-teacher meetings.
- Maintaining positive relationships with students, parents, coworkers, and administration.
- Managing student behavior in a supportive and kind way.
- Creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Communicating regularly with parents.
- Helping students improve study methods and habits.
- Courteous and professional demeanor and dress.
- Able to work 7:45 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
- Ability to operate computers, classroom technology, and computer software (Microsoft Word, Google platforms, Excel, PowerPoint, copiers, and cell phone functions such as text, email, etc.).
