Educator Guide (Teacher) Responsibilities and Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Education and a minimum of two years of lead teacher classroom experience in elementary grades.
  • Passionate about implementing project-based learning with a STEAM emphasis.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Open to learning new things and receiving feedback.
  • Self-starter personality traits.
  • Working with students one-on-one when they need extra help or attention.
  • Tracking and evaluating student academic progress.
  • Leading parent-teacher meetings.
  • Maintaining positive relationships with students, parents, coworkers, and administration.
  • Managing student behavior in a supportive and kind way.
  • Creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Communicating regularly with parents.
  • Helping students improve study methods and habits.
  • Courteous and professional demeanor and dress.
  • Able to work 7:45 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  • Ability to operate computers, classroom technology, and computer software (Microsoft Word, Google platforms, Excel, PowerPoint, copiers, and cell phone functions such as text, email, etc.).
